  Elizabeth Anne OuelletteDr.Elizabeth Anne Ouellette

Dr. Elizabeth Anne Ouellette obtained her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio, Texas in 1978. She attended the University of Washington School of Medicine for her Orthopaedic Residency training which was completed in 1983. She came to Miami in 1984 for her Hand Fellowship at the University of Miami. Following her fellowship she remained at the University of Miami for over 20 years where she achieved rank of Professor Emeritus and was also the Chief of Hand Surgery. In addition, while at the University of Miami, Dr. Ouellette obtained an MBA degree from the School of Business. Dr. Ouellette has been the Chief of Hand Surgery and the Director of the Hand Fellowship program at the Jackson Memorial Hospital since 1991.

Currently, Dr. Ouellette is the director of the Miami International Hand Surgical Services (MIHSS). Through MIHSS and its’ association to Jackson Health System, Dr. Ouellette is able to treat patients from all walks of life with upper extremity injuries and conditions.

Dr. Ouellette’s research interest in hand encompasses a wide range of areas, including biomechanics of wrist instability, repair of injury nerves, skin coverage and psychological intervention for the upper extremity trauma patients. Her research efforts have resulted in over 13 chapters, more than 20 peer reviewed articles and numerous presentations at academic meetings all over the world.

  Dr. Tosca Kinchelow

Dr. Tosca Kinchelow, a native of New Jersey, is the newest member of MIHSS. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in Durham, NC. Before, during and after her college years, she spent time living, studying and volunteering in Bolivia, France and Costa Rica.

She graduated from Michigan State College of Human Medicine in 2000 and went on to complete her Orthopaedic Residency and Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, NJ. Her research has been in the area of infected nonunions, distal radius fractures and malunions, metacarpal fracture fixation and thumb metacarpal base fractures.
She specializes in trauma of the hand and wrist and arthritic conditions of the hand and wrist. She speaks Spanish fluently.
